Whether it’s serving as class parents, leading classroom projects, or lending a hand at special events, there are countless ways for parents to help shape the life of the school. Our annual events, such as the Winter Fair and End-of-Year Auction, offer meaningful opportunities for parents to come together, plan, and connect with one another in ways that strengthen our school.
Beyond these events, our Community Outreach team actively addresses needs beyond our school, partnering with organizations like City Harvest for food drives or Room to Grow for clothing, toy, and book donations. These efforts align with the value we place on building community.
During the school year, we host various workshops for parents and the broader community, covering a wide range of topics related to early childhood and parenting. Our monthly "Chats with Rachel" provide an opportunity for in-person discussions with our Director. These gatherings foster conversations that can be both informal and spontaneous, as well as focused discussions on early childhood education and parenting.
Each year, our partnership with McNally Jackson brings a carefully curated book fair to Chelsea Day School. This event gives families and children the opportunity to select thoughtfully chosen titles to enjoy at home. Timed just before the winter break, the fair offers a perfect opportunity for holiday shopping, with a percentage of proceeds directly supporting our school’s programs.
Every spring, our Chelsea Day School community comes together for our annual auction. This meaningful fundraiser is a special evening for our families and a cherished tradition in our school’s history. Families select a theme and collaborate on planning and preparations in the months leading up to the event. The auction offers a wonderful opportunity to connect, enjoy a night out, and bid on a variety of generously donated items. Proceeds support vital initiatives, including our tuition assistance program, helping us nurture a diverse and inclusive community.
